I am a Los Angeles based professional cellist who holds both Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Cello Performance from Azusa Pacific University, and have privately studied under the tutelage of Dr. Marek Szpakiewicz DMA and Seattle Symphony cellist Walter Gray. I have additionally participated in solo masterclasses with principal Chicago Symphony cellist Stephen Balderston, renown soloist Joshua Roman, and principle Baltimore Symphony cellist Dariusz Skoraczewski. Some of my highlighted career solo works include Antonin Dvorak’s Cello Concerto in B Minor, Johann Sebastian Bach’s Complete Cello Suites, Dmitri Shostakovich’s Cello Concerto in Eb Major, and Frederic Chopin’s Cello Sonata in G Minor. I performed Bach’s 1st and 6th solo suites in collaborative Bach concerts with Midori Goto and her University of Southern California violin studio, and received coaching from Ingrid Chun and Suli Xue of the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Karen Dryfus from USC, and former New York Philharmonic concertmaster Glenn Dicterow. As an international performer, I have had the privilege of playing in Zhengzhou, China with the Yellow River Symphony Orchestra and have additional performance experience as a cellist and choral ensemble member in Hong Kong, Xian, and Beijing. In addition to my classical training, I have worked throughout Los Angeles as a performing and recording artist for local events and independent studios. I look forward to continuing in his musical development and pursuing my professional career.
